2023
Wissal Houbabi and Roberto Paci Dalò create 7LEMI (My Dreams), a performance-flow in which vocal, instrumental and electronic materials draw a dream time (dreamtime). The creation of an acoustic and dreamlike environment within which the voices move, guided by chironomy, between intelligibility of the text and glossolalia, aphasia and pre-verbal language. The sheet of paper is abandoned to enter the forest of memory and orality where “the language of your dreams is the language of your flesh”.

An extra-ordinary space in which the reference time is the tactus of ancient memory, the bpm of the heartbeat. The clothes worn constitute the scene itself.

The poet, artist and writer Wissal Houbabi (1994) has been collaborating with political, artistic and cultural realities for several years with one goal: to dismantle and undermine a system (which until proven otherwise is) structurally racial, patriarchal and classist. Wissal moves in various fields, from hip hop research to writing short stories that explore the condition of diasporic culture, to oral and performative poetry shows with Mediterranean music.

Roberto Paci Dalò – director, musician, visual and sound artist, designer, curator – presents his works around the world in biennials, festivals, theaters and museums. John Cage appreciated and supported his work. Roberto leads the performing arts group and cultural space Giardini Pensili. He founded and directs Usmaradio – Research Centre for Radiophonic Studies of UNIRSM, artistic director of TACTUS Radio Festival and BIOMA Festival. His latest book is eBAU (Quodlibet, 2024).
