Animagus is a permanent objects and sound installation situated at Villa Clotilde in Esino Lario (Lago di Como, Italy). Specifically, the work is located in the rooms of the Ecomuseo delle Grigne, at the library of local history (library fund of the Pietro Pensa Archive). It was commissioned to the artist Roberto Paci Dalò by the Association “Amici del museo delle Grigne”, as part of a territorial redevelopment project called “Vestire i paesaggi”.
Roberto Paci Dalò creates for the Ecomuseo delle Grigne of Villa Clotilde the work of art Animagus. It is a sound installation that surrounds some cases of animals in the museum to give them a new voice and create a sense of disorientation in the visitor. The installation surrounds both a collection of butterflies and a diorama of animals, both elements already present in the museum. Animagus therefore creates a new itinerary for visitors to Villa Clotilde, who rediscover the heritage of the territory through a magical and emotional experience.
