Electroshop: concrete sound workshop, sounding sculpture for an electroacoustic quartet is a working group and a music studio and a performance by Roberto Paci Dalò, Anna Troisi, Antonino Chiaramonte and Giorgio Distante. Electroshop is an open, lively and fluid team, where the construction of works of sound art – the “concrete” musical instruments – overlap with acoustic research and experimentation. Electroshop collaborates with performing artists and music composers from all over the world.
Electroshop is a team that analyzes the morphology of sound at a spectrometric level. This is how it works on building “sound objects”, to which it intersects the musical composition. He therefore creates a two-way correspondence between “sound object” and the composition itself. The “sound objects”, real works of contemporary art, are exhibited in performances by the artists during the concert. The spectromorphological peculiarities of these “objects” are an essential part of the musical composition. They support their structure and suggest their own execution “in open form”: they indicate the parameters and processes that can be modified in real time, for a performance that is both articulated and controlled at the same time.
