IX Variazioni is a performance by Roberto Paci Dalò presented in May 2008 in Forlì at the Ex-Filanda, artistic space of Masque teatro company. IX Variations is based on acoustic fragments of works by Iannis Xenakis (1922-2001), Greek composer and architect naturalized French. Roberto Paci Dalò re-elaborates and samples live parts of Xenakis’ work and projects them into the “multiple” space of the performance.
Roberto Paci Dalò and Iannis Xenakis are the protagonists of the second appointment of the stage project Zebra/ Lo spazio liscia, lo spazio striato, conceived by the theatre company Masque teatro and its director Lorenzo Bazzocchi for the municipal exhibition on the contemporary “Un altro teatro”.
For Zebra, the artists Roberto Paci Dalò and Agostino di Scipio will present Iannis Xenakis / verso un’architettura, a scenic project based on the work of the Greek architect and engineer, French by adoption, counted among the major composers of the second half of the twentieth century.
