Roter Schnee (Berlin)

Roter Schnee, “red snow”, is a scenic fragment by Roberto Paci Dalò conceived and presented in Berlin in 2006, as part of Heiner Müller. Werkstatt , a project curated by Wolfgang Storch and Hans-Christian von Herrmann and promoted by the Internationale Heiner Müller Gesellschaft. The work of Heiner Müller from which Roter Schnee draws inspiration is Leben Gundlings Friedrich von Preussen Lessings Schlaf Traum Schrei: ein Greuelmärchen.

Roter Schnee is presented by Roberto Paci Dalò at the opening of the exhibition on the work of the German playwright Heiner Müller Et In Arcadia Ego: Die Inspektion, an exhibition in which Roberto Paci Dalò participates with an interactive multi-channel audio installation entitled Greuelmärchen. Roter Schnee is a sort of scenic counterpoint that aims to introduce the installation and develop live some of the elements in the exhibition.

Leben Gundlings

The title of the fragment is a suggestion that comes from one of the pages Leben Gundlings Friedrich von Preussen Lessings Schlaf Traum Schrei: ein Greuelmärchen, a complex work by the German playwright Heiner Müller so defined by Roberto Paci Dalò: “It’s page an electric field. A place activated by history and people. A transceiver station, a device that creates vibrations, discharges, lightning, flashes, shadows, falls, gaps between inside and outside. An alchemical place where materials are transformed. A suspended, hallucinatory state, where multiple times meet. A biographical place as autobiographical is, in some places, Leben Gundlings: Ich bin 47 Jahre alt”.
