**Artists**

Elisa Biagini has published six collections of poems, some bilingual, including The Guest (Einaudi, 2004). A new collection, Nel Bosco, was released in 2007 again by Einaudi. Translator from the American, she is the editor of the volume Nuovi poeti americano (Einaudi, 2006). elisabiagini.it

Franco Buffoni has published several collections of poetry. In 1989 he founded and still directs for Marcos y Marcos the six-monthly magazine of theory and practice of literary translation “Testo a fronte” and the series I Saggi di Testo a fronte and I Testi di Testo a fronte. He was awarded the National Prize for Translation by the Presidency of the Republic and the Prize for Culture by the Presidency of the Council. francobuffoni.it

Pierluigi Cappello directed the poetry series La barca di Babele. Among others, he has published Le nebbie (1994), Amôrs (1999), Dentro Gerico (2002).
With Dittico (Liboà, Dogliani 2004) he won the Montale Europa prize for poetry. Assetto di Volo (Crocetti, Milan 2006) was the winner of the Pisa (2006) and Bagutta Opera Prima (2007) awards. pierluigicappello.it

Gabriele Frasca has published several collections of poetry including “Lime” and “Rive” which have been published by Einaudi. In 2008 with “Prime” (Luca Sossella publisher) he won the Naples Prize. In 1993, for the Fanucci publishing house in Rome, he translated the novel by Philip K. Dick “A scanner darkly” by Philip K. Dick and for Einaudi, “Watt” (1998), “Le poems” (1999) and “Murphy” ( 2003), by Samuel Beckett.

Riccardo Held has translated Balzac, V.Hugo, R.M.Rilke and G.Benn, Rezvani and Gaston Salvatore. He edited “Fedra” by J.Racine, of which he also translated Iphigenia, Britannico, (Meridiani Mondatori). He has participated in Meridiani, in the editions of Th.Mann, Goethe, Celan, Musil. In 1985 he won the Pasolini prize with the volume For this relaxed acid desire, Guanda. and in 1996 the Eugenio Montale international prize with the book The irreverent flicker of blue, Marsilio.

Isabella Panfido, Venetian, collaborates on the cultural pages of “Il Corriere della Sera- Corriere del Veneto”, and has edited and hosted for years the only Italian radio program dedicated to poetry for Radio 24 Il sole 24ore. He published the book ‘Casa di donne’, Marsilio editions, 2005 -2006, the plaquette “A pelo d’acqua” (Florence Prize 1997 unpublished poetry). He has translated from Russian, English and Hispano-American. He recently edited and translated the complete, unpublished version of ‘Memoirs of a peasant girl’ by L.Tolstoj and T.Kuzminskaja (Casagrande 2008).

Massimo Rizzante, poet, essayist and translator was editor of Baldus and is editor of L’atelier du roman. He has translated, among others, The Curtain by Milan Kundera (Adelphi) and the November Symphony and other poems by O.V. of the. Milosz (Adelphi). Since 2004 he has directed the poetry translation series Biblioteca di Poesia for Metauro Editore.

Sara Ventroni, poetess, translator, author and radio presenter (she edited the lives of Jim Morrison and David Bowie for RAI Storyville.) with the volume Il gasometro (Le Lettere) was a finalist at the Naples Prize. She is the author for Rai 2 of the radio script Chi fa la spie directed by Gabriele Vacis.

Member of the International Heiner Müller Gesellscahft of Berlin. Naples Prize for Italian language and culture. Collaborations include Kronos Quartet, Alvin Curran, Philip Jeck, David Moss, Scanner, Terry Riley, Predrag Matvejevic’, Gabriele Frasca, Giorgio Agamben. His work has been championed by artists such as John Cage and Alexander Sokurov.
