Giardini Pensili performing arts ensemble and space was created in Rimini, Italy, in 1985 as an art project based on the collaboration between artists, technicians, theorists and is directed by Roberto Paci Dalò. The space hosts residencies for artists and researchers, concerts, performances, books’ presentations. Usmaradio is one of the main partners of the space. Giardini Pensili is also an archive documenting over three decades of art and technology projects created worldwide,
Giardini Pensili presents its productions in such places as Ars Electronica Linz, Budapest Autumn Festival, MaerzMusik Berlin, Wien Modern, Charlottenborg Copenhagen, Venice Biennale. Locarno Film Festival, Museum Moderner Kunst Vienna, ZKM Karlsruhe, Western Front Vancouver, REC Festival Reggio Emilia, and more. In parallel with the theatrical and musical works, Giardini Pensili has carried out numerous radio projects produced by the main European radio stations.
